Most Poetic Villain? #1
There is a wide selection of villains in anime, some are insane, some have their "good" reasons and other are just bored to death. Though which villain would you rank as the most "poetic" of the bunch? Which had views that didn't make them seem insane, but rather sane? Which had a unique way of thinking that got you to rethink something in your life? Which did you prefer? This is a list for villains only! Heroes, side characters or characters who turned good later aren't allowed!

Spoiler: My Choice
Uchiha Madara

Quote:Man seeks peace, yet at the same time yearning for war... Those are the two realms belonging solely to man. Thinking of peace whilst spilling blood is something that only humans could do. They're two sides of the same coin... to protect something... another must be sacrificed.

Madara was originally portrayed as a power-hungry maniac who only cared in fighting and nothing but himself. But as the story progressed, more was shown of his character and the more that was shown the more people understood his point of view. It was shown that Madara had very little care for himself and only wanted one thing, to uphold his promise to protect everyone. But knowing that the world only contained suffering he made a plan, to make dreams into reality and he succeeded. His view on that everything has a good side and a bad side isn't a new one by any means, but it is a view that we should all be reminded of frequently.

Quote:In this world, wherever there is light - there are also shadows. As long as the concept of winners exists, there must also be losers. The selfish desire of wanting to maintain peace causes wars, and hatred is born to protect love.

I'd have to agree on Madara, especially with the quotes you gave, he shows that in a world full of insanity he's the only sane one
