Personally, I believe the challenge was a great idea. Alex, you seem eager to say what was wrong with it without considering what went well.
It did not disgrace our group whatsoever. If it had, Oni would have stepped in already.

Looking at the application thread, yours was reviewed. You linked threads from early last year for us to consider, and haven't had much contribution after them. Yours was declined.

( you would think that a group that is aiming for "HQ", would at least tell the members why they didn't get accepted so they can work on what they did wrong)

Incorrect, during my time period of leading I had more thread made under the reverence name than during yours. You can say its because Reverence had more members back than but that isn't really that case. The group members had more incentive to post threads, you say that activity checks were meaningless but I'm pretty it did more good than it did bad. It kept the members checking the sub forums. Do you really think Vipr and I actually kept people who lurked? I could show you countless pms of me warning members to increase there activity (If my pm box didn't get full from the SE and E removal).

Fixing the subforums takes about a day max to do. You took 3 weeks.

How are they suppose to change or care to change when you don't open recruitment.

The whole point of the group is for high quality members, when you see official threads by leaders with spelling mistakes that isn't high quality that is rushed.
