Cataclysm Classic: Rise of the Zandalari Goes Live July 30!
The world of Azeroth is about to get a lot more dangerous, and the echoes of ancient voodoo can be heard whispering through the jungles of Stranglethorn. On July 30, the "Rise of the Zandalari" update for World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Classic goes live, inviting players to embark on thrilling adventures in Zul'Guruband Zul'Aman. This update promises to challenge even the most seasoned heroes with new quests, formidable dungeons, and epic rewards. Prepare to thwart the sinister plans of the Zandalari and their allies, and claim the treasures that await!
A Threat Fought in Secret
The shadowy machinations of the Gurubashi tribe and their newfound allies, the Zandalari, have not gone unnoticed. Vol’jin, the wise and resourceful leader of the Darkspear trolls, has sent delegates to Stormwind and Orgrimmar, calling upon all able-bodied adventurers to confront the looming threat. The jungles of Stranglethorn are teeming with danger, as the Gurubashi, empowered by their alliance with the Zandalari, unleash chaos.
New Level-85 Solo Quests
Players will embark on new solo quests designed for level-85 characters, delving deep into the heart of Stranglethorn. These quests reveal the extent of the Gurubashi's resurgence and their plans for dominance. Along the way, you'll assist Bwemba, a spirited Darkspear spirit-talker with a sharp tongue and a fearless demeanor. You’ll also have the chance to track down the elusive Hemet Nesingwary, renowned for his big game hunting exploits, and confront new Zul'Gurub bosses lurking in the jungle.
Completing these quests will reward players with a charming panther pet, a loyal companion to join you in your travels. To begin this adventure, seek out Vol’jin's representatives in Orgrimmar or Stormwind Harbor.
Return to Zul'Gurub
The ancient city of Zul'Gurub stands as a bastion of Gurubashi power, now reinforced by the Zandalari. This level-85 Heroic dungeon presents new challenges and updated fight mechanics, ensuring that even familiar foes feel fresh and formidable. Players will face iconic bosses such as High Priest Venoxis, Broodlord Mandokir, High Priestess Kilnara, Zanzil, and Jin'do the Godbreaker. Each encounter will test your skills and strategies, and success will be rewarded with valuable treasures, including a treasure map leading to a gem-encrusted account-bound ring.
Unlocking Additional Bosses
For those with a high Archaeology skill, an additional boss can be unlocked within Zul'Gurub. Gri'lek, Renataki, Hazza'rah, and Wushoolay are among the potential threats that await those who dig too deep in search of riches. Conquer these bosses to earn unique loot and additional rewards.
The Rebirth of Zul'Aman
The remnants of the Amani tribe have regrouped under new leadership, ready to reclaim their former glory. Zul'Aman has been reimagined as a challenging level-85 Heroic dungeon. Players who battled Zul'jin in The Burning Crusade will find familiar ground, but with updated mechanics tailored for a 5-player group. Prepare to face Akil'zon, Nalorakk, Jan'alai, Halazzi, Hex Lord Malacrass, and Daakara in intense battles that will push your limits.
Both Zul'Aman and Zul'Gurub require players to have a minimum average item level of 346 to enter. These dungeons exist in a separate Heroic difficulty tier within the Dungeon Finder, above the current Cataclysm Heroic dungeons. In return, they offer item level 353 epic-quality loot, with a focus on filling hard-to-find gear slots, including bracers, helms, shoulders, guns, and wands.
