Minecraft Server written in COBOL 01-24-2025, 06:01 AM

Fairly recently a developer by the name of meyfa has published a 1.21.4 Minecraft Server (Similar to Paper, PurPur, Bukkit, Spigot, etc) almost entirely written in the COBOL language.
That's right, the same Language from the late 1950's and early 60's used in mainframes and banking systems of yester-year.
This developer had no prior experience with COBOL prior to this project. Genuinely one of the coolest technical projects i've seen in the past few months.
