Minecraft Disc version coming to Xbox #1
Well, today Mojang and Microsoft announced via PlayXBLA that Minecraft will be becoming a Disc, yes you heard right a disc. The price is $19.99, which is the same as buying it via Xbox Arcade, the only difference is this version will be taxed.

Quote from the article:

Quote:The game will contain all of the same features that the digital version includes as well as all further updates. The title will be sold for $19.99, the same price as the digital version (but taxed now) and will be available in other regions outside of the US sometime early in June.

The retail game will be exactly the same as the digital version in every way, including support for multiplayer connectivity between the retail game and the digital download.

What do ya'll think about this? I think this is just Microsoft's way of getting more money, honestly.

I think it's a really good idea, and should've been like this since the beginning. Not everyone has Xbox Live, by doing this they're getting the game out to more people.

Yea, but Minecraft is mostly a 2+ person game, meant to be played with other people(unless, you enjoy being alone, but that's besides my point).

My point is, who wants to play a pixel game about building alone, for like, I don't know, 4 hours?

I played single player on minecraft PC for ages before I played on servers.
And I'm sure you'd be able to do split screen, which would mean family/friends can play with you.

And just because they buy it on Disc doesn't mean they don't have live (That was just one advantage) some people don't like buying MSP.
