Mikakunin De Shinkoukei

Spoiler: Story
Yonomi Kobeni, an ordinary girl, finds out on her 16th birthday that she is betrothed to Mitsumine Hakuya, a boy the same age as her. Hakuya moves in from the countryside and starts living with her, bringing his younger sister who is still a primary school student with him.

[intro]A friend of mine recently inroduced me to an anime called Mikakunin De Shinkoukei, and I found it to be quite humourus and cleverly made. Since it came out on the 9th, there's only one episode out, but has been given 12 episodes. Even this early in the show I can tell Im going to like it. Each episode will be about 23-24 minutes long.

[what-i-think]This anime is one of the best new ones I have seen all month and I am really looking forward to the next episode.

[rewatch-value]I watched this for the first time on the 11th, and I am rewatching it now, on the 16th, and though I really didn't notice anything I didn't notice on the first run, I still found it extremely funny and interesting to watch.

[rating]Artwork: 8/10 (Mostly good, but at points in the episode it looks a bit fishy)
Storyline: 8/10 (It's very realistic, and I could see something like this happen in real life)
Sound: 10/10 (I couldn't notice any background noice, and the voice actors seem to have pretty decent microphones)
Characters: 8/10 (Each of the characters play an important role in the show, but it's not something I haven't seen before.)

Overall Rating: 8.5 (Would recommend you watch it!)

//EDIT: Episode 2 is now officially out! <3

It's way too early to write a review for any anime airing right now, maybe except for imocho. I have to disagree with you however, this show is a gag comedy, the characters do stuff you can only get away with in manga or anime. Examples would be pretty much everything about Benio and lolis in highschool and modern day arranged marriages are NOT something I expect to see in every day life. Also I don't think any credible anime production would publish something recorded with consumer microphones, hell even in the 90's era of cash grab OVAs. That pretty much gives every anime ever close to a 10/10. Also alot of the characters with one exception are just kind of there to push or interact with that one character from what we've seen so far. Mashiro isn't the protag but the show sure as hell wants her to be, and with good reason, she is one of the most unique and likable characters in the cast and fucking CARRIES this show.

I agree with the first statement you made there, as I though of this more as a recommendation, but it went more into the realm of a review, so I changed the title to episode 1 review instead. As for arranged marrige, that is something that happens in a lot of cultures, and even now, in 2014 it is still quite common.

And infact, I can't tell you how many Animes I try watching every month, that I end up closing within the first 4 minutes due to bad voice acting and/or background noice/bad microphones.

If possible I'd rather not get into an arguement with you, as I tend to do that every time I start one of these threads. Thanks for the feedback bby <3

I'l say this, modern day Miai is the least unrealistic part of this show. That being said I'm super interested to know what anime has a such bad seiyuus that it crosses the language barrier. And the only anime I can think of that had some bad audio technical issues was golden time so please educate me
