Source of download? If it's a fishy source, probably why it's not safe.

I torrented VS and so far, haven't found any problems + I'm pretty sure Microsoft wouldn't intentionally (or at least this blatantly) slip shit like this.

I downloaded it direct from MS so should be safe, I'm unsure if this is a false positive or something maybe lurking.

Yeah it popped up under my Dr.Web scan I'm think I should post on MS forum and ask a few questions.

Virustotal results: https://virustotal.com/#/file/3fac66b3d9.../detection

Also noticed some graphical glitching and one application keeps crashing even though this is a clean build *Re-installed everything and it should be fine never had the issues I'm having recently

There are a number of ways to driveby normally safe downloads with MITM etc. Especially if you're already infected. You need to be verifying md5 sums. I've got some pretty decent malware detection in my AV Suite and I've had multiple versions of VS with no detections or issues. Occasionally it flags a common false positive but besides that, nothing.

Over my local network I'd doubt that anyone else would have access unless my cameras have been compromised or came compromised may have to set something up to sniff the traffic across the network see what I find.

It's good practice to run an IDS/IPS on your local network- just to monitor activity between all devices, and obviously prevent Intrusions.

Snort works well, although It Is a pain configuring, Inclusive of the adding rules on a regular basis. EasyIDS Is a better option.
