Personally, I use marijuana for medicinal purposes, it helps me cope with insomnia, relaxes my body and body. I am independent, but I understand the risks that may arise, so I control these processes.

I think the real point of legalization is to stop people from using drugs (making something illegal doesn't stop people either), but it provides people more legal and accessible avenues of dealing with the problem. Having an issue where you can't ask for help, because it will literally enhance the problem, vs having the ability to reach out for help and get professional support... Which one do you think is best?
In this situation, there are two sides that are the exact opposite of each other. Negative consequences can be expected in any case, whatever step we would not take. I think that soon people will get tired of it and they will want to take something more serious OR it will entail more positive consequences, for example, people will use drugs less and less as an escape from reality. Let's hope for the best, shall we?

Yes, fingers crossed! Although, this issue is gaining more and more traction in recent years. I don't think the outcome will be one extreme or another. More often than not, it's a compromise. For example, the recent changes in law surrounding marijuana. Also, humans are humans, they will always use drugs or some other form of release. How many that use... now that's another question! Only time will tell Smile

I don't think we have enough calendar years to get an accurate figure on the number of users.

One thing's for sure, It's a significant amount.
