I understand it's not the newest thread on the forum, but it's a topic whose landscape keeps changing over the years. I know many people will open this page. So, allow me to add I believe Python and Ruby are two of the most useful programming languages in malware development. I'm not a hacker, but as CEO, I've discussed with my red teams, and I heard that hackers write exploits in Python and exploitation utilities in Ruby. I believe your favorite exploitation framework, Metasploit, is in Ruby, and you can add Ruby plug-ins to it. The results of the different tools in the framework often generate Python malware, and almost all zero-day exploit markets sell products in Python, too.
