Make them about 50-75SP instead of 250. Why? It'll help people get them faster, which means more people.

RE: Make invites cheaper. #2
That's really short-term logic.

The reason it's so expensive is so people only invite others who are worth it and not just spend it randomly to rack in referrals.

I'm pretty sure that's the reason Oni closed the gates.

True, I was about to suggest we raise the prices tbh. 25 posts for an invite code? Come on that's nothing.
I'm out. Y'all needa sense of humor. Peace.

I agree with this. Posting +40 Posts would be a lot better for a referral. If not, any random LQ poster would invite more LQ members.

The patience needed to post replies/threads that matter being lengthened would filter out the unwise referrals.

EDIT: I take back the forty, I say double up and make it fifty.
I mean, let's be honest, if you make the referrals cheaper, then the gates being closed really don't make a difference anymore.

That's only double the effort tbh, if they want to get in that's not much of a road block. I was thinking more like 100, really makes you think about who you invite, then again 100 may not be that much of a road block either according to what I said earlier, but it's a start? The more valuable the invitation the less likely they are to jeopardize that with poor quality or trolling.

Yes, we had too many low quality members coming in and posting one sales thread.

Yes, so was I. It's too easy to get the codes. The members that come in need to be worth it.

Now that I think about it, it should be more than 50. Only people who actually are active should be able to invite others.

An automated activity check on purchase wouldn't be too hard to implement.

It probably would be hard as fucking to code although considering how there aren't any plugins made for this...I think.
