As you're aware, Ram Is of utmost Importance for the above- particularly when running simultaneous VMs.

I'd also be looking at growth, that Is, plan ahead for future needs and developments.

It's thanks to new RAM (and to phyrrus) that I'm considering upgrading other components.

@Skullmeat Shoot, I accidentally wrote 8350, I meant 8370.

Either or. But the 8350 overclocks better.
The intels do better at single core, but for the price the physical cores of the FX win, especially under heavy load.
