Looking into a new laptop! (Any Suggestions) #1
I am currently looking into getting a high performance laptop and I understand that laptop's aren't the most efficient way of optimally having powerful components (Compared to desktops) but, due to my current standing point in life the best thing I can use is a laptop for on-the-go development and for other conveniences of them.

My Budget:
Virtually anywhere up to $2500

Any suggestions? Biggrin

Get a Razer Blade. It seems cliche for gaming (except alienware), but the specs are amazing. Other than that, ASUS makes some really nice laptops with high power. For ASUS, I would go with this: ASUS ROG GL552VW DH71. Core i7, high end nvidia GPU. 16gb ram. However I would prefer the ASUS ROG G501JW because it is nearly the same specification wise, except a ton thinner.

Sorry I'm partial to ASUS.

Do you have a laptop that is decent that you are done using?

I've been dealing with lappies for around 12 years, and In terms of the manufacturer, "Acer" have significantly Improved over the years.

I have a network of around 8 lappies (always have), and although Asus are pretty good In quality, they don't seem to serve my computational-Intensive tasks. Don't get me wrong, Asus are good, but not for my usage. As for HP, I've had 3 die on me, so I suggest to stay clear from that. There's not one Acer that has died on me, nor lost any sort of functionality on the hardware side of things.

MSI is Good, everything from Acer save for their 2010 and older netbooks (AO/AOD Series) are pretty reliable. Once again, the thing to stay away from is Dell and HP. Dell has some better stuff now...but still...Dell.

Anyone have a laptop they wanna send me?

I had a Razer Blade and it got damaged within the first week of regular use. They aren't robust laptops and I don't recommend buying one unless you plan on leaving it at a desk. Even carrying it around in a bag is risky.

I definitely appreciate everyone posts. I honestly, had been looking at getting a Razer Blade Pro or an Alienware 17 R3 Skylake. The alienware honestly surprised me with a overclock of 4.1ghz and Razer has always been a computer company that I respected due to the quality and speed of their devices. I'll keep looking around the market for better machines. Thank you guys! Keep the suggestions coming Biggrin

Highly recommend MSI laptops.
as @zorrophreak said stay away from Dell or HP but HP aren't that bad comparing to Dell.
Other laptop brands I can recommend is ASUS, ACER (Currently having one), would suggest Lenovo too but their last scandal about putting adware on their products.
Never got ahold of Razer and Alienware laptops but from the testimonials I have read their good too.

I am actually looking at a lot of MSI's products right now. It's just hard to find one that is in my price range that would out-perform the Alienware 17 R3. I do love the body style and overall specs that MSI brings to the table. I am currently researching my options and, I will post my options soon! Thank you for the support and suggestion (:
