[LoL] MSI 2016 Group Stage Discussion #1
Holy shit, that was intense. With a freaking Wildcard team actually winning games, CLG dethroning both RNG and SKT, and the absolutely ridiculous plays, what's not to talk about?

My first question: do you guys think NA actually has a chance at winning a major?

I mean, NA hasn't stood in winning a major since fucking Halo.

Well, I mean. I really wanna hope, like I've had hope in CS:GO and we just get shit on everytime I haven't watched many league pro matches so I can't say much. But I'm gonna make sure to start watching more because I plan on playing more and getting better etc..etc..

I don't like Esports, not to thread bash. It's created a type of competitiveness that is sometimes cringe, yet also intimidating to new players. I'd rather hear more about champion developments or new skins, to be honest.

I'm not a huge fan of esports either. I don't mind it too much, but I wish they'd stop sending notifications. It would be good if you got notifications etc if you subscribed to the esports bit or something.

Yeah the notifications really get on my nerves. I mean, isn't it enough to just have an advertisement on the launcher/League in-game homescreen? I don't need an additional popup telling me that MSI is playing, when I already have half my screen advertising the livestream, people playing, and times of the matches.

I also like the E-Sports scene (sorry Oni Tongue), especially what League is doing encouraging College teams. It's just cool seeing people from various Uni's competing in a video game

As far as NA winning, I think they stand a chance, if they keep it up. It would be amazing to see them win.

I guess it could be intimidating to new players, but watching a bit of LCS or LPK can give you some crazy new ideas and strategies on meta, micromanaging, champion mechanics, itemization, and tons of other topics.

And yeah, the notifs are pretty annoying. I'll be watching the stream on twitch and get a notification after it's already started.

I disagree @"Dismas" I think the eSports scene is wonderful, and I believe that it inspires people to focus more on the games, and I don't believe that it has created " competitiveness that is sometimes cringe " I think that is just the people, and their has always been people like this.

C9, Immortals, and CLG were absolutely insane. Jensen and Hai are straight up gods.

Yeah, Immortals is probably my favorite team (just because Huni and Reignover from my old favorite Fnatic joined the team, i just looked it up). Cloud 9 is up there too, though.

I miss the days of team SoloMid. I remember watching them back when I first started playing Ranked (2/3 years ago maybe)

I'm not huge on immortals. They're good, but they cracked during playoffs.

Oh my god, I was such a TSM fanboy in S4/5. I have the S5 team jacket lying around somewhere. Bjerg is why I started playing mid Tongue
