Yes, you read correctly. It looks as if god himself is tired of the overglorifying of sinners and crooks. I never would have imagined reading this headline today.

From what I've been reading, it's widely contested how this happened, from vandalism to the lightening strike story. I'm a little more than surprised there's no CCTV of this. Then again, I am from somewhere that naturally has a lot of CCTV.

I certainly agree.

The lightening could've hit anywhere, but no, It selected the main facet of the building. Personally, I'm leaning towards vandalism.

Yeah. Lightening tends to aim for a good conductor. A brick wall is not a good conductor. It's not impossible, but I have my suspicions.

Is it actually act of god, if yes well deserved. But since there are doubts about vandalism, let law enforcement investigate and let truth come out. I do believe it could be wrath of God.
