i just saw this and wondered what it was about. the UK for sure had an interesting 2023, with new PMs, new royal, inflation..

I believe the thread was originally about Boris resigning. With all that happened the past year, it really was a blip.

Rishi Sunak isnt calling for a ceasefire among the palestinians and isreali conflict because his family are making billions and billions of dollars of the war and he knows that. When he was questioned about the ceasefire he couldn't even answer.

Given Hamas is the most recent instigator and they have broken ceasefires previously, it would be a tactical error. Any ceasefire will just be broken, like before.

Let both sides bleed and mourne, until peace becomes the outcome they truly want.

It's politically embarrassing, but there have been worse political embarrassments in the last 5 years, and I can assure you this particular episode will fade and be forgotten into history. There were some tragic embarrassments from Churchill, and look how fondly people think of him now. In the grand scheme, this is a mere blip.
