Legalization of Marijuana and why? #1
Do you think marijuana should be legalized in America?

My answer: Yes, because it helps many people with their real life and health. People would be happier with it.

It is not a harmful drug, it is actually good for you.

I think it should be legalized for multiple reasons

E.G: It helps people with medical issues and because it can be taxed(in which case, the it'll help the economy instead of worsen it because it doesnt get taxed).

In Colorado, you can use it for recreational use(meaning you can smoke it just to smoke it, you don't need a medical condition).

Exactly my point.

The only reason why thugs these days smoke it, is because they kind of have to be thugs to get the drugs since you are breaking a law.

There would also be less criminal charges on people.

More than 2/4ths of all arrests are drug charges, and if it was legalized, there would be A LOT less people in jail over something as petty as a plant with some extra(NON-LEGAL) ingredients.

Marijuana will be legalized nationally sooner or later. They have gotten nothing but good results of legalizing this drug in the states they legalized them in.

I like this episode so much and it does have some points in it.

Life asked Death, "Why do people love me but hate you?" and death responded, "Because you're the beautiful lie and I'm the painful truth."

I think even IF there are arguments for drug control - as in other opioids/psychoactive substances etc. - it's utterly stupid to club pot with them. So basically, if a guy smokes pot and gets caught and uses crack - he gets punished regardless? Pot is relatively harmless compared to tobacco, and not to mention the potential health benefits, obviously. Same to an extent about shrooms. At least those should be legalized and controlled ASAP - although I'm for decriminalization and control of all drugs. Legalize pot, control it and tax it.

When people say pot is a "gateway" drug, they forget that the only reason it's a gateway drug is because of it's illegality. If it were legal, people would purchase it through the correct chains, and wouldn't have to worry about their dealers offering them something extra.
