Laid Off #1
Hello everyone haven't been on for a min due to work and been traveling a lot. Recently last month I got laid off never in my life I've gotten laid off till now. My job couldn't keep me due to not being able to pay me. Hence to why I've been more active now. Been jobless for a month now but I have applied at a couple places I can see myself growing and see a career just have to wait since the process takes a couple of weeks. Since I've gotten laid off I've been on the Unemployment program practically just covers my bills and that's it. Does anyone know where I can find under the table jobs, ways to make some extra cash. As of right now I've been just trying to buy PS5 and Shoes to resell for more than retail since they are limited. Any help Id appreciate to finding a under the table job or ways to make some cash. Thank you!

I'd really recommend to applying to more that "a couple" jobs. I have applied for 50 jobs in a matter of weeks in the past, purely due to the fact there are more people competing for fewer roles. Hell, apply to a temp agency for some work while you're waiting the few weeks for your application process for the other jobs.

The reason why I've only applied at a couple of jobs is due to me not wanting to job hop. Really wanna find a job where I can grow and see a future in. Ever since last year when Covid-19 became more serious I've job hop a couple of times. I've been mainly around dealerships and car related and would like to pursue another work field beside car related. And I just don't wanna apply at any jobs that I'm not going to be happy at nor make the same amount as I am staying on Unemployment.

That's totally fair, but if you're struggling financially, that's exactly why temp jobs are there. There's no commitment pressures and it covers your financial needs. It may also help you land that perfect job long term.

I always say: "If you spend 8 hours a day working, then you should spend 8 hours a day looking for work when unemployed".

Using the above equation, hit every application that fits your experience. Believe me, you will land a job a lot sooner than later.

I would recommend applying at way more then just a couple places. Apply at everything, even every mcdonalds near you. I have a a few side methods of making money, pm me and I can share them with you. Good luck, I know its tough. I was in your shoes not too long ago.

Currently Unemployment covers my financial bills which I’m glad everything is working out. When I got laid off I just felt off. Unemployment also sends me jobs alert which I’m always looking at on a daily basis. Like I said the jobs I’ve applied at our government jobs so it’s kinda taking a awhile since have to go thru multiple proceeds. Just waiting on my background check then next I have to do fingerprints. This post was just more for information on how to gain cash on the side like under the table or any ways you guys have so I can gain extra cash while being unemployed and waiting to get hired.

The jobs I’ve applied at the process is just taking awhile since have to go thru multiple process. Just mainly looking on getting new ways to earn money beside what I got going on right now which is reselling PS5, Xbox, and shoes since I would have to buy it for retail when they stock up or release and wait till it gets shipped to my place but I usually sell it same day..

This ^

I've been there, done that and I fully understand how difficult It Is to make ends meet. The key Is to totally disregard rejected applications, and solely focus on applying for every vacant position that fits your employment eligibility.

I'm very Interested to see what your methods entails, hence a PM Is greatly appreciated.

If you don't wish to share It due to the possibility of saturation or otherwise, I understand.
