Just a write up / rant. 11-16-2013, 03:20 AM

This might be a TL;DR for most people so if you don't want to read a lot, then this thread isn't for you.
You know what I've noticed over the last couple years? That we all go through so many mixed emotions with the opposite / same sex it's insane. It's even to the point where on sex will discriminate against another or same sex about how "awful and no good" they are. Well, I don't see the logic in that because if that sex is "so bad" as you claim, then why do we keep chasing it? I've seen it a lot on Facebook and I've never been a believer in the opposite / same sex being at fault ever. I feel it's just who we are as humans and how we grow.
Example:
Girl: "All boys suck. I hate them. All they do is cheat and lie."
or
Girl: "All guys wanna do is get laid."
or
Guy: "I'm the nice guy and you go after all the doucebags."
Sometimes, I wish we would all just take responsibility for our own actions. Too many relationships I've seen fall down the shitter due to the fact that someone was always to blame for something. No one ever fessed up or would settle and agree to something. Divorce I feel like is an ever-growing thing and I really hope that some crazy thing like this doesn't happen to me. For most of us civilized human beings, we want to settle down with someone special and have that equal sense of feelings towards eachother and avoid disputes and conflicts. I feel like even arguing over how one might have forgotten to take the laundry out would wind up into a huge fight in front of their kids.
Sorry if this just doesn't even connect with anyone here, but it's something I've noticed and felt like I needed to rant and share this and maybe see some second hand opinions on how I feel.

- Now if boys suck so bad, then why do you keep flirting with us? If you were trying to get married one day or have someone to cuddle with and have cute time with, wouldn't you want to be with someone you're attracted to? And if you're attracted to the sex you're placing irrational opinions on, then why would we even want to be with you?
or
Girl: "All guys wanna do is get laid."
- Now for some of this I will obviously agree that this is true. However, when you put a label on all guys, then that's just going to make it harder for the actual good guy to even get in contact with someone and I'm sure many of us have seen it. If not, then this is one fucked up county I live in. Anyway, for most that's what they're focused on. Just saying it in that fashion and so wide open about it just makes all of us look bad when we didn't do shit. Only one person did.
or
Guy: "I'm the nice guy and you go after all the doucebags."
- Jesus, the amount of times I've heard this is crazy. Granted I've said this a few times, but I always understood that the feelings for that girl was just never there. I accept it and am alright with it. I chased a girl for 2 heart breaking years and always wondered why she was chasing the same guy, but he was a total dick to her in every way. I know that all I could ever be was a friend, but that's because she wasn't attracted to me. One must share attraction in order to even be considered for "dating."
