Jesus in Isalm #1
In The Name OF Allah
Al-Salam Alekum

Jesus is one of the most revered of the prophets of God in Islam. In the Quran, both Jesus and his mother Mary are mentioned with praise. The chapter is named "Maryam" which is the equivalent to Mary, in honor of Jesus' mother.

19:16 And mention, [O Muhammad], in the Book [the story of] Mary, when she withdrew from her family to a place toward the east.
19:17 And she took, in seclusion from them, a screen. Then We sent to her Our Angel, and he represented himself to her as a well-proportioned man.
19:17 And she took, in seclusion from them, a screen. Then We sent to her Our Angel, and he represented himself to her as a well-proportioned man.
19:18 She said, "Indeed, I seek refuge in the Most Merciful from you, [so leave me], if you should be fearing of Allah ."
19:19 He said, "I am only the messenger of your Lord to give you [news of] a pure boy."
19:20 She said, "How can I have a boy while no man has touched me and I have not been unchaste?"
19:21 He said, "Thus [it will be]; your Lord says, 'It is easy for Me, and We will make him a sign to the people and a mercy from Us. And it is a matter [already] decreed.' "
19:22 So she conceived him, and she withdrew with him to a remote place.
19:23 And the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a palm tree. She said, "Oh, I wish I had died before this and was in oblivion, forgotten."
19:24 But he called her from below her, "Do not grieve; your Lord has provided beneath you a stream.
19:25 And shake toward you the trunk of the palm tree; it will drop upon you ripe, fresh dates.
19:26 So eat and drink and be contented. And if you see from among humanity anyone, say, 'Indeed, I have vowed to the Most Merciful abstention, so I will not speak today to [any] man.' "
19:27 Then she brought him to her people, carrying him. They said, "O Mary, you have certainly done a thing unprecedented.
19:28 O sister of Aaron, your father was not a man of evil, nor was your mother unchaste."
19:29 So she pointed to him. They said, "How can we speak to one who is in the cradle a child?"
19:30 [Jesus] said, "Indeed, I am the servant of Allah . He has given me the Scripture and made me a prophet.
19:31 And He has made me blessed wherever I am and has enjoined upon me prayer and zakah as long as I remain alive
19:32 And [made me] dutiful to my mother, and He has not made me a wretched tyrant.
19:33 And peace is on me the day I was born and the day I will die and the day I am raised alive."
19:34 That is Jesus, the son of Mary - the word of truth about which they are in dispute.

Jesus is mentioned in the Quran in about 90 verses. While his real date of birth is unknown, and it is the time of the year that many Christians discuss Jesus, I hoped to familiarize you about Jesus in the Quran.
Prophet Muhammad taught us the lesson of humanity, he said in one of his sermons, “Shall I inform you of the best ethics of this world and the hereafter? Companions replied yes, he then said: Forgive the one who has oppressed you, connect ties with the one who has broken ties with you, be kind to the one who has been unkind to you and provide to those who deprived you.”

Let us celebrate by removing prejudice, hatred, bigotry that divide us, and come together in peace and gratitude. Let’s make this holiday season more joyful for those who are less fortunate than us. Because the real joy rests in making others happy. Heart

Wa Salam Alekum

I found this an interesting read. Thanks Kurd.
I don't really believe in any God.

But this idea I do support:

I'm more confused than anything else. But I'm assuming you're well wishing of holidays and spreading of joy.

So ditto.

Subhan'Allah. It's great to see and read this. Its just to create awareness that just like Christians, we also believe in Jesus, and believe he amongst other prophets that walked amongst him were amongst the mightiest.

To anyone celebraring, merry christmas, and a happy new year.

Positive vides!

RE: Jesus in Isalm #7
While no believer in Judaism believes that Jesus was a prophet, nor the messiah, because prophecy ended 4+ centuries before him according to the Tanakh (Old Testament) and the messiah has yet to come, some still do believe that he was a very wise man.

There is a common Jewish proverb which dates back over 1500 years, and originates from the Talmud. A non-jewish man walks up to Shammai (a Rabbi of the time, who is known for being very strict and uptight) and asks him to teach him the entire Torah (first five books of the Old Testament, which are highly valued in Judaism) while he stands on one foot. Shammai thinks he's mocking him and tells him to go away. The man then goes to Hillel (another Rabbi, who's the polar opposite of Shammai) and asks him to do the same. Hillel accepts the challenge and when the man stands on one foot, he tells him "What you would consider hateful to yourself do not do to others. This is the entire Torah, the rest is up to your interpretation".

I certainly agree with your message at the end of removing hatred and other nonsensical barriers between people, and wish everyone happy holidays!

My message was for spreading peace between us while we see many wars and problems around us.
So While I can write some words for making peace, I said why not writing this article.
Thank you Smile
