Unless stated by ex-amount of members, we'll never know whether they're posting as per usual, or attempting to fulfill the requirements.

There's definitely an active "pulse" here, it is very much alive. Im dumb, and I can see it and feel it. To those who doubt, post something, ask a question (a normal question), post about your life, problems, almost anything......and you will see its alive. And not just alive, its a live and well. You get solid advice, life changing advice, if you ask how to make a million dollars, that probably wont get a response, not a proper one. If you are new, its like walking into a crowed room, or new school. Take your time, look around, ask some questions, read the 1000s of pages and posts. Get to know people. The Elites know this probably isnt the only place or have others, but there's plenty here. So this dead thing, I don't see it at all.

Remember, this stuff changes a lot. Different ways to do different things. All the time. To me, this place has a rapid heartbeat and pulse, not just computer stuff, life stuff too. Peace

I don't think that this forum is dead. Some people just prefer reading rather than posting replies.

I can agree that it's gone a slightly different direction, there's a little more advertising and with growth the community isn't as tight but at the same time activity is killing it and I still enjoy coming on here more than any forum I've ever been on so yeah I'd say alive and well.

Growth will always lead to changes, but I don't think the community ever became less tight. Our members and interests might change as time passes, but I still see some of the same people I met years ago. That's what makes this all worthwhile.

Ads are just here to make sure we're online for years to come.

Yeah and the ads are nowhere near unbearable so its okay. I don't think loss of a close knit community is the right word, but we've definitely grown to the point that some of the biggest members are very recent. Not a problem but that's okay.
