This is actually my biggest gripe about Alienware. Due to the nuances of those laptops, the graphics drivers were entirely proprietary to Alienware. Not only that, but AMD ceased offering the non-proprietary drivers on their own site as well. Oftentimes Nvidia/AMD roll out updates and optimizations for new games. As those cards haven't received an update in almost 10 years, it's safe to say the laptop is hindered from performing its best.
This is also why I will never buy another Alienware. They're very aesthetically pleasing laptops and they offer good specs, but a lot of the features are proprietary and you're stuck with Dell's support when parts start to fail.
