The drivers weren't supported by windows in 2015 (2 years after the laptop was purchased) so Crossfire was disabled and it only ran on one of the cards.
In all honesty, this is the exact reason why I had to purchase a new laptop - One of Lenovo's Legion line (I think I mentioned somewhere earlier in this thread).
I've never owned one, nor had the time to research as of late but both your feedback changes my view on Alienware, entirely.
