Intolerance to difference. #1
My friend is homosexual. He confides in me. So he called me crying i got mad, in my head i was thinking "what happened to him, did somebody beat him or something" We started talking and he said " I heard a song today, it was very powerful and it made me cry." I replied "Which one?"

This is the song he told me.

See i always accepted gay marriage but this song is so moving and powerful i made me cry a little. Yes i'll admit it i did cry. I was watching this video with my fiancee and she cried too. It made me realize that:

We cast homosexuals aside, judge them and treat them like shit because they are different. Even if we don't notice it.

(This only applies to homosexuals, not pedophiles)
When we will stop stepping on other people for being different?
They are humans as well, they are no different. Love is love, it doesn't matter from who it comes from and for who is directed. Love is pure and we forget it.

I include myself in this because i to have had anti-gay remarks. I don't mean it but living in a society that when we don't think something is cool we label it as "gay"

"Oh that song is gay" etc.

What inspired me to make this thread was the emotion that my friend projected to me.The affliction, the suffering, the fear that he lives, the constant judgement, the times he has tried to commit suicide because he is different.

I called my dad and we got in an argument. he said "Why are you even paying attention to those people? You will burn in hell with them"

I said: "Fine if i am destined to burn in hell for standing up for others right i will gladly burn"

This is my way of feeling at this moment. Please respect my thread. Be logical, be human, love, make a difference.

I've always been pro-homosexual marriage, actually I have a friend like yours too (one who is homosexual and really only talks to me about it), his parents hate that he's gay but the doesn't care... I'm gunna show him this song next time I talk to him Tongue

Well, I did not cry. But I got that sense of peace that I wish I could feel on every day basis wishing that everybody would realize that as humans we can't push each other way because of there differences. I guess I should stop saying fag or thats gay from now on. Thanks man you made me a better human today.

I don't think there is anything that could be done about about things being to referred to as gay. Sure a few people will change in how they speak but I doubt anything would happen. Because when a movement happens, either everyone gets involved and pretends like they care, and then eventually that movement will die out and people will continue to use those terms.

Ah well theres a difference between people whom are willing to change for the better of other peoples feelings or out of respect. And then people who just don't care.
