Installing metasploit in Ubuntu 06-22-2011, 01:34 PM

MAny people don't know how to install metasploit on Ubuntu but here is how
Go to terminal
type
sudo apt-get install build-essential ruby libruby rdoc libyaml-ruby libzlib-ruby libopenssl-ruby libdl-ruby libreadline-ruby libiconv-ruby libgtk2-ruby libglade2-ruby subversion sqlite3 libsqlite3-ruby irb
when its finished type
wget -c http://rubyforge.org/frs/download.php/45...-1.3.1.tgz
than
tar -xvzf rubygems-1.3.1.tgz -C /tmp/
than
cd /tmp/rubygems-1.3.1/
than
sudo ruby setup.rb
after that
sudo /usr/bin/gem1.8 install rails
and
cd ~/
mkdir bin
cd bin
svn co http://metasploit.com/svn/framework3/trunk/ metasploit
To open it type
cd metasploit
and
./msfconsole
