Scam reputation require a link to scam report or something? #1
So, as you can see, I've received a negative reputation from @Accounts69 and I don't mind that in itself, but he is accusing me of being a scammer.  I've never scammed anyone on this site.  I've reported it a few times, but nothing's been done.  It was a revenge rep which is fair, but c'mon, it makes no sense, no proof, no attempt anywhere that I've scammed or tried scamming a member.  Him on the other hand... who knows how many of our members he's scammed that haven't opened a scam report.

Here you go - rep fixed.

Their name is already enough to suggest scams. Which legit account seller would call itself "Accounts69"?

You've reported the neg rep, or something else? I can see Mothered closed this guy's thread already, so action has been taken on that front. However, we are unable to ban the user without someone making a report. I've asked the one individual, who claimed they were scammed, to make a report.

Ofc, your thread is about automating a process to require a scam report whenever someone neg reps claiming another user is a scammer, right? Personally, I believe this is unnecessary. This is already considered rep abuse. Reputations like that will be deleted on a case-by-case basis (as yours has in this instance).

For future reference: If this ever happens to anyone else, just raise the issue with a staff member.

Yes, I've reported the negative reputation at least 3 times. I think it has to go through the queue and be rejected for me to report it again right? For example, I had the option to report it when I made the thread.

I only bring this up now because the idiot is on Skype trying to scam me and I keep referring him to the site to deal with the person he's already scammed.

Also no, I wasn't clear. I don't think there needs to be a system in place, but I think if someone leaves a false rep with no backings at all for a scam, it should be removed. I guess a link's not even necessary because the guy he scammed hasn't opened a scam report but he let us known on his thread. He's still trying to scam me after I told him to fuck off a few times on Skype lol.

Since reputation isn't a priority issue, it may have been dismissed. Forgive me, I didn't see the report myself. However, upon reading this thread and investigating the user in question (ultimately resulting in a ban for incessant spam among other things), I also removed the rep. If you check your reputation, you should no longer see it there.

In a case like this, feel free to PM a staff member. Reports are more useful for spam/illegal content flagging.

Wow really? What a douchebag. Out of curiosity - What's he saying now? lol

Goodness me, surely he didn't believe that you'd fall victim to such a mediocre attempt at scamming.

After all, you're an SE'er, thus well aware of the warning signs.
