If you met yourself 5 years ago, what advice would you give your 'younger' self?? 12-27-2013, 09:05 PM

If I met myself 5 years ago, I would say to my 5 years ago self - "Put your head flipping head down and do your school work and focus in college when you join and go all the way."
I was a bad a boy in school unfortunately so I kept getting kicked out for a little while and when I kept coming back, I had no idea what my classes were learning/being taught and when I joined college, I only studied what I was studying for a year and wasted it all by leaving for no reason what so ever. If I were a good boy in school and never left college, I probably would have a decent job right now and earning big money.

I would tell myself not to be stupid in love and that there are other better people out there. That's one of my biggest regrets right now. I wasted a good amount of time with the wrong guy. But anyway, I don't regret all the learnings that I had from that particular experience.

If I met myself five years ago, I would say, "don't be so trusting of everyone and your hard work will pay off i you don't give up."
Five years ago, I took a new job with the hopes of paying off bills and building up a career. Unfortunately, I trusted the wrong people, which caused me a lot of hurt and pain. Today, I think of the scenario and understand how naive I was.
During this same period, I was also doing a second job from home. I gave up part way through because the 9 to 5 seemed like a more reasonable option. I regret that decision; I missed out on a wonderful opportunity.
