It's at the top of my bucket list of places to visit. So for me to jump to that never having visited.. I'm either stupid or really like the idea of Japan.

On a more realistic note, I am genuinely planning on moving to another country one day: America (I'm English).
100% agree with you on Japan. After watching 5 centimeters per second I really fell in love with the scenery and cherry blossom trees

A lot of people would pick Japan, just because they watched anime. Once they get there, they're disappointed it's not 2D and there's no subtitles.

Anime is lovely and all. But I'd like to see real Japan. I've watched a lot of travel shows and met a couple people from there. It seems like a place that would both be very familiar (capitalism) but also so foreign.

But yeah, the language barrier would be really difficult.

It really depends on where you are like Kyoto is also very populated but is more traditional then for example Downtown Tokyo which is branded by pop-culture, Chiba is also a very busy City but in a more industrial, bureaucratic way.
But don't take my words for a 100% granted i only know it because i worked for a Long-dastance-Trip Company and therefore had to do a lot of research because it was by far the most populare destination by most of our costumers, never been there myself yet.

I personally would never move to the United Arab Emirates. Impossible to get something delivered to your place, you need a VPN to do anything enjoyable online, it is REALLY hot, modern-day slavery, expensive, cameras everywhere, not environmentally friendly...The list could go on.
Yes I agree with you about the climate and security system as well. It has both extreme got climate ans cold climate as well.

I actually want to do a trip where I get to experience lots of different parts. I'm not as interested in big cities, but would have to do some for sure.

Then i can only suggest you visit Kyoto or Osaka City, good destinations for tourists who want to see more trad-culture then pop-culture but you have still good posibilties to go out at the evening and not just sit in your room. At least from what i researched. Smile

I will probably like to settle down in Auckland for its beauty and comparitively low cost of living. But certainly not on a days notice. All my travel plans are made in advance and with much thought. Newzealand is my dream country and that's the place I want to be maybe after retirement. Just relaxing, doing nothing and enjoying nature at its best.

Thank you! I'll keep that in mind for when I finally look into doing a trip Smile

Albania; because I already speak a little so could assimilate quicker. Plus I know people there. Corrupt as shit, so you can pretty much do whatever you want (5-10 euro to a police man and they'll let you go). Weed and coke everywhere.

If I had to move tomorrow with no exceptions like a language barrier, I would pick Japan. It's a culture shock for some, but I've learned quite a bit, and I'm confident I would be able to adapt.

If I did have to worry about language, I would move to Canada. Living in the United States makes moving there look better and better by the day.
