sorry for not implanting more in details- but tastes vary just pick the best and make sure it's not more or less then what you need.
as far as OS i would recommend Kali linux - (make sure to download the latest version)

If you prefer Debian based distros, go with Kali, if you don't go with BlackArch, both come with a large assortment of tools that are taught to CEH learners, you can also find a few threads on here about setting up a lab/sandbox for all your testing needs.
