You said that you need advice but what kind of advice you need you need you haven't stated those. This code is a simple timepass. Do something productive as for an example you can code a simple song or poem generator, this will generate poems and songs based of stanzas or length stated by the user.

If you need reference like books, links videos, then search the forum and don't expect someone to spoon feed you. I have myself posted many resources here on HC for learning java you just need to search for it.

Are you on the right thread? im completely lost on what you are on about?

Yes I am very much sure of it.

Okay, well in regards to whats so funny, i dont see any one joking around? what exactly makes you believe anyone here is laughing or joking about anything? the advice he asked for would be safe to assume about the subject he posted about... i dont think he was asking for advice on cracking a windows password...

as for usefulness... i dont see how that is relevant to someone learning a language. Ive taken a number of programming courses through highschool, college and university and quite frankly they never begin with particularly useful code. The point is to practice and advance your understanding of the language. That is clearly what this exercise is about and the purpose of posting it was feedback. If thats below you fine, but you dont need to bag on someone just because its of no use to someone like you.

I'm open to all advice, books, tutorials. I've taken a break the past two days, Just from a few days of programming I feel as if I look at every problem I face differently then I normally would.
Also, if anyone wants to Instant message me and help me out when I have problems (maybe even give me advice), I'd greatly appreciate it.
And another thing; I'm not completely drawn into java yet, I still have a small window before I can switch and do C++, would anyone reccomend I do that instead?

I can help you out with Java related problems.
Your code above looks alright. I would use a for loop instead of the while loop, because you are counting backwards. The very last verse can also be written after the loop to avoid checking everytime if only one verse is left to sing.

No one can tell you if you should do C++ instead. What do you want to program? The decision on the programming language should always be made based on the things you want to create. Not the other way around.
