Just got back from a 3 day hunting trip. Only got to kill a couple of pigs, but saw some amazing wildlife.
Has anyone else on Sinisterly been hunting before?

Oh gosh, I've been hunting since I was 12 when state law said I could with my dad and nowadays just go on my own in the fall - there's some amazing scenery, and I get some good food out of it if I'm lucky.
It's also sort of a nessecity around the house - we have livestock and crops, and wildlife control is needed at times. So far this year we've had issues with one of the families of Black Bears - two of the males were killing off livestock so they had to go - and there's constant pests like crows and woodchucks which are pretty much always open-season.

Back In my younger days, I've been with a friend of mine and his father.
They also used to take their dog (hunting dog of some sort, I don't remember the breed) and It was a great experience. That was over 25 years ago. I haven't been hunting since then.

I never went hunting before and not planning to do. It's is not a sports activity, it's killing innocent animals for fun

Can't get myself to kill animals. Already have enough conscience problems when I have to take care of a spider in my room.

In my country you have to get a hunter's license and you can't buy real guns <21 if I remember correctly. That's too bad, cause we have a bore problem here.

I doubt I could ever go hunting, because I am total wuss and don't like the idea of killing something. However, I still eat beef, chicken etc, so I clearly don't feel bad enough.
I don't mind other people hunting, within reason. Clearly endangered species etc is a big no no. But, population control and protection of livestock makes plain sense to me. I'm sure there's a thrill in it that I'd like if I could get past my conscience. I don't plan to, though.

I have wanted to hunt before, but my dad was never the sporty/cowboy kind of guy so I never learned.
