Moved from The Lounge forum to Random Discussion.

Stating the obvious, what're your Interests? There's very little purpose keeping your mind occupied, If you have no Interest with the task at hand.

It depends, usually whenever I feel my mind activity is slowing down, I tackle complex things that I set aside.

It may sound obvious, but do something productive. If you're working on something with an intended goal or outcome, then you are more likely to engage your mind with that task. It doesn't have to be an unpleasant or difficult task.

Personally, I never find myself without something to do, as I have a lot of different things I want to achieve. They can be trivial things like reaching a new level in a video game, or more important things, like working on the house I live in, or working on my fitness.

Learning a language will really jump start your brain. It's a lot of work, but it's definitely worth the time and effort.

You'll be able to talk to thousands, maybe even a billion people when you're advanced enough. And it has also been proven to positively affect your brain and improve memory.
