It took me about a week to learn mostly everything about HTML. I learned it when I was like 11 lol.
I also created my first deface page that day.

1234Darkmaster: It's a bit more than 8 tags. Not to mention that tags have attributes and there are also some rules to follow.
However, it doesn't take much time, it's quite primitive and it's markup language anyway, to describe content. Not to mention it's often (at least it should be) used in conjunction with CSS and if you add JavaScript and some server-side scripting language (PHP, ASP.NET), you'll be able to create MUCH more powerful things :3

It took me a few hours to learn HTML back in the early 90s. But it was only 20 tags then. It got a little more complicated when it was standardized with HTML 2.0... HTML5 is now a very evolved language that follows the same patterns.

Yeah same for me. Except the javascript part. xp
Learning individual tags is easy, takes just a few minutes. But using them in a meaningful manner takes a few hours of testing.

It's easy to think you know it, but you have to have knowledge about compatible elements and attributes for each browser too. And HTML is not just HTML, without CSS you won't get very far, so it's the combination of both. I've been doing it for a while though.

I learned HTML, CSS, the basics of JavaScript and PHP in about 3-4 days. I never had such injection of knowledge in so little time, but I had to learn it :headbash:
Everything you knew of, redefined.
