Any lanuage takes a while but how long did it take for you guys to learn python/java/C++
i've been wanting to learn just for my own sake but am confused on where to start/how long it would take.

It all depends on the person and on how much time that person is willing to dedicate.
I suggest following a beginners course on youtube, there's plenty. Not one of those 2-10 hour courses though. After that, look up some beginner friendly project suggestions, that isnt too complex and try your hand at it.
Note: You'll be spending alot of time on google, looking up examples of how to code specific functionalities. That's just part of the process, and everyone used to be at that stage. Goodluck!

i picked it up during lockdwon bc there was fuck all else to do and got it pretty quick in a few months. theres a lot of great resources on yt that were mad helpful
