RE: How do you occupy your free time? 04-05-2020, 06:53 PM

It's a matter of perspective, but I don't see time to myself as "free time", because it's time that is owed to my goals and ambitions, which require a lot of time and effort. I spend a lot of time learning the ins and outs of really technical things, primarily Linux, networking, security/cryptography and programming. When I feel like giving myself a break to decompress so I don't burn out, I will read a book, workout, or watch something like anime or whatever noteworthy show is out. I work a full time job that doesn't really have anything to do with the things I'm into, but I'm looking to transition into something in IT, primarily for the better pay and more relevant workload. The Corona outbreak is obviously not great, but it gave me a lot of time to dedicate solely to all of this shit that I normally would have to squeeze in after my day job, so the past week and a half has been extremely productive. Looking forward to another month or two of this for sure.

Since the corona virus lockdown, I got into a new morning workout routine, and I've been helping my family work on their house for the last week or so. Other than that, gaming, watching twitch and painting.

When I'm not playing games, I try to watch interesting documentaries.

I think everyone has a lot of free time now, right? I went crazy for the first part of the lockdown because Netflix was already fed up, the premieres of all interesting films were postponed, the games were transferred, the new consoles were only at the end of the year. Honestly, I was rescued by fairspin.io and streams on Twitch. I'm better prepared for the "second wave": we bet with friends that by the end of the quarantine, we would speak a little in some foreign language, and the one who wins chooses the country for travel for all friends.
