Before I start let me say that I am 100% serious about this. I believe that the more popular religions such as Christianity, Judaism, and Islam are all too corrupt now. From the low level teachers/leaders of a faith to the high level teachers/leaders of a faith almost all benefit massively from their position. I believe that their needs to be a reformation among the major religions or more of "cleansing" within the faiths. But I'm sure that'll never happen. I'm 16 now and I've never really identified with a religion I could never believe in the higher powers of today. Have you ever met someone who just seems like a robot when it comes to religion? Like they've been programmed to believe that their god is the correct one? It's hard to try to put into words what I'm thinking but does it ever seem like people never have their OWN beliefs about god? I don't know I'm going off topic but anyway I've always wanted to form my own religion not a cult but a proper religion. I've thought about taking the best aspects and ideologies of other religions and putting them into one. For instance, Daoism's respect for nature and Christianity's commandments specifically speaking the 6th (You shall not murder). As far as there being a deity or deities to I guess worship I don't know about that yet. Maybe the Sun and/or the Moon? Is a god required in a religion?  Sometimes it seems like religion often governs some people's entire life (which is ridiculous). I just want people to realize how amazing WE are. I mean look around you or look at yourself! Look at your friends, family, pets! This simply AMAZING! The world often makes it seem like we're just nothing that we're just a small piece of something greater but in all reality we are something more! I lay up at night thinking about stuff like this all time. What can I do to change the world for the better? Do I attempt to become the President of the U.S. and use my power to try to fix things? No, I know things are much more complicated than that. I know that it's much deeper than what the average person thinks. Maybe forming a new religion will give me a platform to at least fix a few things before I die? The main teachings of my religion would  simply be PEACE and CO - EXISTENCE. As I've previously stated It's hard to put everything that I'm thinking into words so I'll end it here. How would I go about accomplishing my goal of forming a religion? Is it even possible to change this world? Is it too late for the world?

I think the concept of religion is usually reliant on a belief of something greater than you, or a greater power driving your reality. It sounds like what you're really looking for is a change in human behaviour, from less destructive and negative, to a more positive and constructive ideal. Beyond cults, I don't believe it is possible to start a religion, but a movement is something you can start. Religions are based on believing in something, not making up a set of ideals and deities. However, a movement can be founded upon ideals. You can outline what your movement stands for, and ideals of living that you hope others in the movement will follow.
