How do I make a signature?

I've been trying to find the option to make a signature and I can't find it. Is there a post limit or something like that that I would need to make one because it's no where to be found...at least for me.

You need to make it on your own, with Photoshop CS6 or Gimp.

I know that much but I can't even find the setting to add a signature
