As soon as my father told me to quit something and I could feel his voice raise even just a little bit, my ass was long gone with whatever the fuck I was doing. So yea, I'd say gain the respect you should have as a parent that your child knows you mean business when you make a request.

I think with in the past 3 years I've maybe had to spank him 2 times. He is normally pretty good about listening but he does get, his moods. Another really big thing when verbal discipline is needed is instead of saying your mad pussed etc
