I don't know if you've seen my other thread? Where I whine & whine about my fiance leaving me & taking my plane ticket back to PA with her, but if you're into that kinda thing, here's the thread:

Well, here's my dilemma. I need to be in PA on the 23rd. I bought my ticket, but she took it (by mistake I like to assume), so I'm left with nothing ..nothing to sell, no more money, & a deadline approaching.

I thought about temp work, but I will not get paid in time to order the ticket. The ticket I originally purchased was 125.80, its now still around that range, closer to say 130? That being said ..I need to get 130 bucks by the 22nd, or I need to find an alternative.

Keep in mind, that plane ticket was the cheapest publicised travel I could find, so don't recommend the bus (unless you find a good deal, in which case I'll happily reward you! [.

I have an open mind, & was in a touring band, so I'm no stranger to long trips & hitchhiking ..but I'd like to avoid the whole thumb out on the road hitching. Maybe a hitcher's site?

Throw me some suggestions! Thanks!

This may seem stupid, but...

Don't you have any friend or relative there you can explain the situation to that will let you borrow the money? Nor can you phone a relative that can send you the money? I don't know how the US (it's the US, right?) works, here you can send by post any amount of money to a name and address, you are given a passcode, you give the passcode to the person who is supposed to receive the money, and that person can go to the post office in the city he is to get the money, provided he knows the passcode and has a means to identify himself. I believe the post keeps a % for the service, but it's very useful.

Well what I did was put together a "fundraiser" for myself, & called family & friends to see if they can throw in 5 or 10 bucks per person, in which case I'll be able to get it with 10 friends (I have 20+ that wanna see me back in PA) so I'm up to $85 so far! (:

Hopefully by the 23rd I can get ahold of some more money.
