In all honesty coins aren't really that useful yet especially for staff as there is no need to purchase the subscriptions and you seem like you will be a decent member so thought I'd help you along.

As far as I know (and I could be wrong on this) membership status should remove all the restrictions from your account enjoy your membership and I hope to see you around the forums.

That was a quite nice introduction, I love astronomy too although I left that idea since I'm from Iraq .... a very long
way to astronomy from here to NASA so I kinda feel your previous/still pain I still haven't given up "YET" one day I will go and study astronomy. Unless I die first ^^

I read that you like programming in android, maybe you will take over my android dev tutorials ?! ^^
BTW you will find a lot of posts in this forum, coding , graphics or anyother subject so you have a good reference
to read Have fun reading and learning ^^ and as always be safe be well live long and prosper

Also you need to purchase the membership from the HCshop here bfore it becomes active so maybe that has something to do with it

I just had to welcome you. Your nick contains the word Java, and you are from Germany. That would have been reason enough, but also remind me of myself 10 years ago. Or 14 years ago. (Damn, now I feel old).

Other than that I love Astronomy. I have dreamt of becoming an astronaut ever since I was 9 years old! But I´ve kinda given up hope on that one since, you know, although no one admits it, they prefer men. No matter how good I am, my gut feeling is convinced that I don´t stand a chance against my competitors. This is something that makes me cry whenever I think about it.

You are now on another path, but one with similar difficulties (there are also fields in computer science, where women are seen as inferior). So let me tell you: If you don't try, you will never get to live your dreams. So go for it.

Your gender doesn't matter at all. Wait, technically it does; but your gender is not responsible for your skills. You are. We yet have to convince everyone else that this is true (I am constantly working on it).

Both sentences are bullshit. Neither men, nor women are naturally more talented in programming than the opposite gender.
