Hi all... #1
Just wanted to check in and say hi! Sort of new to hacking but I have many years of programming experience. Right now I'm just trying to brush up on my skills to get some part time work.

Welcome to! I'm sure you will enjoy it here. Which programming language are you programming in?

I started out with Time Share Basic on an HP2000E back in 1978. Then I learned/used COBOL/FORTRAN and PL/I in College(The University of Texas - Austin).
Then I picked up some other languages at work(Focus/SAS/Visual Basic 6.0).
Right now I'm teaching myself Python and C++.

That covers it. Smile

Sounds like you have worked with computers for quite some time now Smile
I will be looking forward to see what you have to contribute with. Also it's two really powerful languages you are learning yourself there. I myself have actually just moved on from exactly those two languages to Java Wink

Hello, and welcome to the community. You seem to have alot of experience with programming. I would be interested in any knowledge you have to offer.

I'm also learning Python, it's a good language and powerful one too. Good luck and enjoy. Biggrin

My plan is to learn as much as I can about C++/Python and move onto Java. I also plan on taking an on-line class from University of Tennessee on Python 3. I'll take that some time this year.
