Hey, I like Cyber Security and stuff #1
Hey sinister.ly members, I'm currently a student waiting to finish my year and get a job / apprenticeship in the Cyber Security area. I've been around the hacking culture since 2010 jumping around all forums that have any relation to hacking, programming, etc.

Nice to meet you guys! Biggrin

What would you recommend a new member like me do? I'm looking to build a good rep!

Welcome to the forum. Be sure to give the rules a check. Staff are here, should you need help.

As for building a good rep, socialize with the other members, and create content when you can. Biggrin

Qualifications where I live. I value experience over qualifications and I feel like the education system where I live is taking me no where apart from getting that little push into the Cyber Security sector.

Two recommendations:
1. Learn C and Assembly (both AMD64 and AArch64), these will be CRITICAL in you working in the security industry
2. Create content. I've built my reputation by writing 55 HQ and in-depth tutorials. There's a link in my signature to the list of them if you want a reference.
Please read this: https://sinister.ly/Thread-Tutorial-A-co...lity-posts
it will help guide you through writing the types of threads that will get people's attention in a good way.

This.

Qualifications assist In getting your foot In the door (Initial employment) but experience, particularly years of "dedicated" work, holds more ground In defining the caliber of one's ability and know-how.
