Help regarding Keylogger #1
I am here because someone put a keylogger on my computer and i had to throw it away and buy a new one, i just wanted to know a bit more about how people can actully do this, i have nothing to offer because this is all new to me so i dont have anything to contribute.
I work full time and i am a mother of 2 boys and one daughter, i have been with their dad for 15 years and we live in the UK. I hope this answers your questions and tbh your quite rude.:Embarrassed:

Hey there, @jodee! (again)
Why exactly did you throw the computer way? I pray to God that it wasn't just because of the keylogger which could have easily been removed - even by someone here on HC. Just screenshare with a respected member and I'm sure they would have gotten it off your computer for you.

Also, don't bash out on @Deque. She's a great woman and a respected member of HC. I doubt she was rude to you, if anything, she was probably being honest about something. But I could be wrong.

EDIT: I believe this thread belongs in the Open Discussion forum which can be found here: www.hackcommunity.com/Forum-Open-Discussion

There are two types of keyloggers.

The first is one you would personally install on a spouse's or child's computer to see what they are up to. The software runs in stealth mode (although most antiviruses pick them up) and emails you the results or stores them in a hidden folder that only you have access to.

The second (and most vicious) is received by downloading a file or visiting an infected website. These malicious keyloggers record everything you type including passwords and account numbers. They then zip up on a pre-scheduled basis and send the recording back to the source where some jerk tries to filter your banking, investment, and other online funds for him (or her) self. This is why having a good antivirus, spyware sweeper, and malware sweeper are so important.

Now if you want to get whats under the hood you need to learn programming (Which i teach on YouTube check my signature link), if you want to get into programming you can start here http://www.reddit.com/r/learnprogramming/wiki/faq and you can use this forum for support and such my lady:Thumbs-Up:

RE: Why I joined Hack Community #10
This Kelogger my bank details it took over my Skype and facebook, I logged onto Skype and changed the password but straight away it got my new password, every time I changed a password it found it so I smashed the inside of my computer up and threw it away because I didn't know what else to do
