Hello guys,

I'm trying to learn php and familiarize myself with databases. Login databases and functions in particular.

I need to make a database full of something. Like I'm going to make an html form with a login screen, but I need something to login to. Things like this are what helps me learn coding.

Any ideas? It doesn't have to be something serious. It just has to be a database containing something so when I login I actually access something.

Have a look at a lightweight, open-source blogging system. That should familiarise you with the basics, it helped me a ton anyway!

First check out phpacademy on youtube he has wonderful tutorials / guides on how to program in php and get around the language..

Second you may want to download a free open source php login script and then look over the code and see what you can understand from it. Then from there experiment try to make extra features / addons for the script. If you download a open source script and read over the code after you watch a couple of videos from phpacademy on youtube you'll start seeing things that you have learned or seen over at the academy and you can go from there.

Try writing up a calculator script on your own after watching some tutorials on how to create a php calculator.
