Hello #1
Hi guys!
I guess this is what the rules say I should do, kinda bad at these but I'll give it a go.

I don't know much about coding but it really interests me, enough to the point that I'll seek out forums like this one to read and learn more about it. I've been browsing this place for a couple days now and I finally decided to make an account, but other than that I think I'll be coming back to try to learn as much as I can. Ummm, some of my interests include music production, walking, skateboarding, and since I was a little kid I've been intrigued by insects and reptiles for no real reason.... I just think they're really cool.

anyway, its nice that I can introduce myself like this hahaha
I look forward to posting more and if anyone can help a dude out and give me some tips on where to start that would be cool Smile

@mothered I guess the first thing I would want to learn is a programming language, but I.m not sure where to start.

So first off, Welcome! You seem like a chill guy so I think you'll blend right in here with the rest of us. As far as coding goes, I would say start off with something basic, if you wanna go very basic start off with something like Scratch or any "Jigsaw" programming language to get the concept of developing code down. If you already get all that and most of the concepts, then I would say try something like Batch or Python. They're easy enough languages but I would recommend taking a class on one at your school as it will be easier to learn concepts and practice them when you're on an already created curriculum. If that's not available to you, I would say look up prompts for coding and just kind of work with those mini projects, like create a program that accepts user input and utilizes loops or something of that nature. Google is your best damn friend when you want to learn stuff so lube up and ride that shit like it's the 60's. This got weird. Welcome.

It all depends what you're willing to achieve.

In terms of a server scripting language, PHP Is quite powerful and quite easy to learn.
