I certainly agree about starting at a young age.

My experience In the hacking/SEing sector, has exceeded 3 decades.
I remember my first SE actually, I was 11 at a arcade. I believed a change machine short changed me 5 dollars, so I went up to a worker to tell him. After receiving my money, I realized that I wasn't shortchanged, and actually just SEd a worker accidently. I ended up spending all my money at the arcade anyways, but I did the same SE multiple times at that arcade after.
The body exists only to verify one's own existence.

Nice one.

Everyone has SEd at some point In their lives, but haven't recognized It as "social engineering" at the time the event took place.

I feel like this quote highlights a good difference between someone who would be good at SEing and bad. Like, I'm not great at SEing because I don't recognize moments like this and, and much less do I execute on them. Last time I did something like this was at like a Wendy's or some shit and I thought I got the wrong sandwich, and I offered to return the one they gave me. Turns out they didn't, it just wasn't labeled correctly, but I felt pretty fucking bad about it still like I'd just stolen something lol. Which I guess I did, in theory.

It's more to the point of Identifying the events that define one's actions as social engineering, and recognizing It as such thereafter.
