Have you ever been scammed?

I've been scammed a couple times on eBay and I've been scammed in the import business once for over $5000. I've never been scammed on a forum for products or services before and I don't plan to.

Has anyone ever been scammed before? If so how much?

I have never been scammed through eBay and everyone I have dealt with on there has been legitimate, so far, but I have been scammed on Xbox Live back in the early years. I remember people that were high on the CoD leaderboards used to say that they could modify my prestige/custom classes in return for Microsoft Points and Xbox Live Gold. :dodgy: Looking back, I was an ass for believing them.

I have been scammed by chargebacks on Paypal. That's how I've learned to always use my second Paypal account for sales/purchases then transfer the money to my main account.

I've only had chargebacks on paypal, luckily I won most of them.

Yeah I see a lot of people saying they can do that on Xbox Live. Actually some people were able to do it but they would most likely NOT come through with the deal and just run with your points. Never been scammed on PS3 or Xbox because I know the tricks, but it sucks you were fished into it. It was back a few years though and a lot changes in a few years so don't think of it as a bad thing on your side, completely understood.

I've had a chargeback on my PayPal one time only and luckily I won that too. Fucking sucks though because it took like a week for PayPal to resolve it and thus setting me back $50 that I could of spent on something I wanted :/

Only once, I'm usually extremely careful and diligent and so I don't get scammed often. The one time I got scammed must have been I believe around 2 and a half years ago now. It was just after my birthday and on a certain forum (that I won't name in case it counts as advertising or some shit.) someone was running an SE shop, and I paid them I think £20 of my birthday money to get a Logitech joystick and they turned out to be a scammer who ran off with the cash. A silly mistake but I'm glad it happened, it was the one time I let my guard down enough to get scammed and I learnt my lesson from it, so I'm glad it happened with a small amount rather than me letting my guard down on something I was paying 2 or 3 times that for.
