I agree with you here, but this is just how the world is. We only act because of what we know and experienced ourselves. So someone that doesn't know about the shit happening to a Muslim in a third world country will automatically act in the way you have described because of what they have experienced themselves at the hand of certain individuals of that race or by what they have heard from others. Think of it like this: We all live in our own little boxes. Our boxes have little holes in them. enough to see a narrow view but not the whole picture. How we react and how we feel depends on the view we get, on what we see. However, at the same time we have the ability to make more holes. I guess that's the point I'm trying to make.

I do not believe humanity should only be defined by its positives; rather, the negatives we are capable of are also part of our definition. Thus to me an apathetic, misanthropic person possesses no less 'humanity' than his more sympathetic, philanthropic brethren.

I do not believe in 'absolutes.' If technology is always-changing and technology is also an inseparable part of humanity, that means we will discover new facets of humanity in the near future. They are not added; they have always been there, waiting for us to gain the technology to discover them. /rant

that is clever... so humanity is not bad or good, it just is.

I'm living, working, eating, crying, trying and trading money with consumable items because I enjoy it. I don't care if there's no purpose; I don't care if we spend our life working just to survive. I like that feeling of knowing I've worked hard, or got through some ordeal or another. I enjoy living whether it be worth something or not. Money does control us, but if it didn't, something else would.
