Cain & Abel also does the job well.

It's available as a freeware download via their official site here.

You need to give it output file name with directory as well

Like => ...... -o C:\outp.txt
....... -o outp.txt (current folder/directory)

Although some guides are somewhat old, there's excellent video tutorials on It's usage here.

You can apply the guides according to your needs.

There used to be a site yo you simply put the hash in and it decrypted it... If it was in the dB it was quick, if it wasn't in dB it was slow lol but either way got your pw

In terms of cracking/decrypting a given hash, It depends on the complexity of the password that was used when the hash was created.

If a hash was created against a commonly-used/easy to guess password, It will be significantly quicker to crack. As for a complex password, I don't need to elaborate.

Quick tidbit, Google's search engine also has a hash function built it, but it only works on known cracked hashes, i.e. if someone cracked it before and shared it, Google already has it.
