I've never seen the show before, but how can you understand the plot of the show if you haven't watched it from the start?

You need to start watching it. Starting from the tenth is the way to do it.

He's not on the 10th season. He meant 10th doctor. The first ACTUAL season of the show with the first Doctor was made in the 60's. The first season that @"Adorapuff" was talking about is the first season in the new generation of Doctors. The first season starts of with the 9th one.

So what exactly do I have to type to find where I'm supposed to start?

Doctor Who Tenth Doctor Episode One

Google should give you exactly what episode it was but if not, a site with the episode will come up.

Just use this as reference for the episodes. And just Google the episode name.

If you are going to start from the recent stuff, it makes sense to start from Season 1 of nuWho, starting with the ninth Doctor.

That season was kind of designed to fill you in on stuff. Not quite as good as Season 2 or 4 but still better than 3. I guess that's not hard though.

Also if you are a completionist, this way you get the "full" run without watching hundreds of Ye Olde Doctor Who.

Doctor Who is a decent show, I'd suggest watching Lost as that really hit me.

I think it's complete bs that everyone says "You have to start with the 10th doctor". No the 9th doctor's season wasn't super amazing, but that's only because they were still getting used to having doctor who again. On top of that, there are a lot of references in Tenant's seasons that were from Eccleston's season.

As far as the new episodes go, I'm hoping that we start to get a little more insight into what's going on. Anyone have any ideas as to who the woman is? if you've seen the episodes, you know who I'm talking about.
