Also, you should consider watching Evil Dead (Old One), Silence of the Lambs, The Conjuring 2 & Anabelle. Some of the scariest movies I've seen.

We ended up watching Oldboy (it's on Netflix). Wasn't really a horror, but it was definitely dark - with lots of twists.
